hints and tips for students
For you to get the most out of this event we suggest that you come well prepared and ready to impress potential employers.
It is important that you research the companies that interest you before you attend the expo. Check out the organisation's website to find out about who they are, what they do, and what they look for in employees. If you know anyone in the organisation or in the industry it may be a good idea to ask them about the organisation as well.
Once you have researched the organisations that you are interested in, you will need to prepare a resume to bring along to the expo. Check your university's Careers Service website for advice and tips on preparing a resume.
Some organisations will run interviews with students on Friday, September 5. These interviews will be arranged at the expo. If you arrange interview appointments with more than one company make sure that you:
1. Have a copy of your resume for each interview
2. Do not arrange for consecutive interview times. It is important to leave a break between interviews as they can often run late.
